On tap at Dry Dock. Extra toasty with a touch of ash and backing chocolate. Ashy finish. Bit too much of that.

This beer definitely set the standard for all other coffee milk stouts in my pallet. That sentence alone sums up this beer. i consider myself a pretty good pallet. And as most craft beer drinkers know, there are some beer you drink in your life that you will always remember because they opened your pallet up to another dimension that you never knew you had. This is the beer that opened my pallet up for coffee milk stouts. Its the closest thing Ive ever had to drinking a nice cup of coffee with 1 creamer. the lactose was used perfectly to add the creamy mouth feel and sweetness. well done brew masters.

Pours black with a brown mocha head. A rich creamy aroma of lactose, white chocolate and espresso. An awesome espresso and lactose flavor rounded out with a little white chocolate. Only thing that holds it back is that it isn't as full as it could be, just a touch watered down it seemed. A nice creamy, medium to full body on this. Overall, I loved this beer. As a big milk stout fan, as a big coffee stout fan, the blend of these two worked very well for me.

Black...completely opaque. While it's not foamy, it does leave quite the lace trail.
The flavor profile matches my personal tastes for coffee beers. Up-front there's some roasted malt sweetness, followed by espresso notes (not too overpowering), and finally a finish with just a hint of lingering semi-sweet mocha. The coffee isn't overkill, but it's definitely noticeable and and equal partner with the roasted malts and mild sweetness.
Even though this isn't on nitro, it still has a nice fluffy texture that isn't too flat or thin.
I really like this one and imagine it would go well with a rich chocolate dessert or maybe even serve as a dessert in itself.
In a world where coffee beers often beat you over the head with beans, this one walks a fine line of clear flavor that doesn't overpower.

Fresh growler, poured into a Duvel tulip. Beer was black in color, with a one-finger, creamy, light brown head. Slow carbonation and minimal lacing around the glass.

Aroma was slightly bitter espresso, burnt and roasted grains, sweet chocolate and creamy vanilla. Smells great.

Taste was coffee all the way. Big roasted coffee flavors, vanilla, malt and a touch of hops.

Very tasty beer. I enjoyed this one even more than their coffee stout. Full flavored and highly drinkable. Tastes like an iced coffee. Love it. Great job Dry Dock!
