12 oz. Can

Pours a pretty nice amberish color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger light tan head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, slight spice. The taste is malty, spicy. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

I love Oktoberfests, and while this one wasn't quite as good as my favorites, it still stacked up fairly well. The sweetness and spice were just a bit more subtle in this beer, whereas I prefer a very intense flavor in this style. But I'd get this one again for sure. Another solid offering from Dry Dock, and nice to have it widely available in cans as well.

Might be my new favorite Marzen. I'm delighted to see it in a can. The color of a copper penny, smell of woody toast, tastes of malt, brown sugar, a medium body but delightful going down. I love fall.

a brand new can for these guys, its a little early in the season and the weather right now for one of these to be appropriate, but i am excited about it for when it does finally feel like time. its a great take on the style, a little fuller bodied and sweeter than most of them, a rather substantial brew for its modest abv, and perhaps less obviously a lager than many, but a delicious and robust offering that should do really well for them. nice coppy color, frothy tan head, and aroma of nutty autumnal malts with the right amount of caramel and toast. sweet like brown sugar, with notes of almond and interesting granola at the base, even a bit of a european hopping on the back end. i dont get as much of the traditionally german lager yeast here as i expected to, but there is enough flavor and layers going on with the grain that i never miss it at all. big body and low alcohol is a great build in to this recipe, and its super smooth and hearty going down, really nice fall beer, not at all reduced or dumbed down to be appealing, instead quite the opposite, built up and seemingly more complex and nuanced than most, even without a strong yeast presence. delicious brew, looking forward to revisiting when the evenings cool down and get shorter here in another month or so...

Not quite what I'm used to from an Octoberfest style Marzen. The look is definitely an Octoberfest, but the taste was a bit underwhelming. It is quite smooth, but it lacked a sufficient amount of flavor for what an Octoberfest should be. I think it needs a bit more Carmel malty flavor for me.

On tap at the brewery, 5.8% with 22 ibus poured to flute the beer arrives a crystal clear golden color with a nice 1 finger white head, good retention an excellent lacing. A light but delightful nose of pilsner malt and earthy hops, biscuity. The flavor is also light yet inviting, a smooth pilsner base from which a gentle caramel flavor builds. Mild bitterness with. Nice earthy hop character. Crisp and clean and smooth. Finishes almost creamy. Lighter bodies and well carbonated. Overall this is delightful, I hope to enjoy more soon!
