Our Alligator Ale is a rich mahogany colored ale with a surprisingly smooth finish. This beer is perfectly balanced with flavors of dark malts and hops.

I gotta say this was not half bad. I have been drinking the hops brews for years. And I always end p down there when I visit florida where I used to live. So I have had these in both places and they are pretty much always the same. This one pours a dark brown, but you can tell even from the look that it is thin. No head and no lace, but thats the story with most of their brews. A light smell of caramel and smoke perhaps on the nose, but it was light. The taste is decent, a small burnt flavor dominates here and is followed by a dry, somewhat hopped finish. Decent feel, albeit watered down like the rest of their ales. You could probably drink a buunch, but would you really want to? Overall it was the second best of their brews behind the Hammerhead, but still would never get one if I wasnt there.

This beer was very dark. There was a small head. The smell was a bit like toasted grain. The taste was like oatmeal. There was no harshness with this beer. I could drink this beer again. Probably one of Hops' better beers. It was between this and Hammerhead Red for my growler. I went with the Red.
