Deep copper in color. Thick off white head that leaves exceptional lacing. Nose is malty and some hints of citrus. Taste is more malt than citrus, but there is a pine and dankness that rears its head. Decent bitterness.

12oz can. No dating information found.
Partly cloudy, pale amber colored body. One thin finger of white head, which becomes a thin cap and high ring. Leaves behind webs of lacing, but coverage is scattered.
Aroma is honey malt, a little raisin, and a late whiff of citrus.
Taste has old school bitterness, which comes from a dank pine saturation. Bready malt base. Hops are grassy more than tropical or citrus.
More than medium mouthfeel. Has a touch of syrup. Has a honey bite than lingers. Very good carbonation.
Retro IPA with a solid honey malt base and a grassy/vegetal/dank hop expression.

Pours a hazed honey color with a thumb+ of pearl colored head. Bestaspect of this beer, great head retention & lacing
S: Bready, toasty, hops seem AWOL until the last few ounces
T: Toasty, grassy, a little bit of pineyness & some astringency up front. More toastyness, a touch honey malt, pretty dry, some pine once this beer warms up a bit. Finishes with sweet toastyness, some piney notes & dryness
MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation that then turn a little prickly, skews malty
Tastes like an IPA from the 90s or an Amber Ale, okay to drink, but not one I'd revisit. The hops just don't really show up. ABV seems to be non-factor, not really helping with flavor or body

A very basic American IPA, that's a good thing, nothing, fancy, floral or fruity. Solid beer.

Fresh pour at the brewery in Big Fork. Nice appearance and color (darker hues for an IPA). Not much hop on the nose. Very smooth and balanced taste, piny and firm, outstanding feel, no cloy, finishes easy. Malt profile gives a sturdy backbone. ABV well concealed, very refreshing; a fine example of a centennial hopped ale.

Six-pack of cans, pours a rich gold color with a thin white head. Smells like wet grain. Flavor is well balanced with caramel malt flavors and pine citrus finish. A very nice IPA

Can from Rosauers Bozeman. Dark golden, creamy head. Aroma is grainy, malty, fruity. Hops come forward in the taste, earthy, mildly bitter, matching up with the malts quite well.

Deep amber body; thick, dense and creamy head, well sculpted. Earthy aroma infused with a bold caramel component; a tad spicy; slightly minty. Very malty, very bitter; lots of caramel sweetness; a quiet pine-like flavor; pepper and anise. Medium body; crisp and prickly on the palate; lots of residual sugar heft; sticky; relatively dry overall.
A decent enough American IPA, perhaps focused more on the malt aspects than hops. There was no canning date on the can, so I'm inclined to think this sample leans towards the old-side of things, as the Centennial hop character is really well-hidden. Malty and earthy but lacking in any meaningful hop aroma or taste.

12oz can served in a tulip. No date that I see. Given to me by @mr-jj.
Pours a dark honey color with a smallish head and not a lot of carbonation. Smell is honey and onions, old hops.
Taste is honey, malt syrup, a hint of onion, a hint of old hops.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and quite dry. Overall, it's not bad.

7/1/18...hazy copper with a head of white foam. Toffee malt nose, light pine. Sharp pine bitter, oily resins. Persistent bitter. Pronounced malt flavors, adrift amidst the bitters. Tasty though.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – the beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a malty bready smell that has notes of a vegetal hop mixed within. Along with these aromas comes some light smells of earth and a bit of a citrus hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a very bready taste that has a decent showing of lemon and tropical fruit flavors (tangerine mostly, but a bit of mango and papaya as well) mixed with some grapefruit hop and a bit of herb. As the taste advances the sweeter tropical fruits and caramel seem to get more intense all while the hop seem to dwindle a little bit. At the end there is a bit of grass and some increase in the herb, which helps balance out the sweet and malt a bit and leave one with a rather malty, but still flavorful taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is moderate in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average. For the mix of malty and sweet, with a somewhat lighter hop, the feel is decent and does a nice job of making the brew much more approachable.
Overall – A decent IPA overall, but nothing that is all that out of the ordinary…

My first Flathead beer!
Pours a dark amber, almost tea-like color with a fluffy head of 2 fingers, leaving lots of residual lace as the head recedes.
Aroma comes off as something kinda like grapefruit cereal. It's kinda sweet, kinda bitter, got some bright grapefruity notes, but has this strong oat cereal aroma. Light candy.
Flavor is of grapefruit candy and then some slight pine bitterness. I'm not tasting the hops as much as I should be. The malt imparts a cereal-like grainy quality to the beer, almost like marshmallow cereal. Finishing notes of grapefruit, grapefruit candy, and sucker.
Feel is clean, inviting, about medium bodied, and has a calm carbonation.
Overall, a good introductory IPA for those who are a little hop-shy. I personally would prefer more hop action out front, but the taste overall is pretty decent. Interesting candy notes going on.
