For the beer drinkers who enjoy a mild-tasting, Canadian-style beer. This light ale is refreshing with a crisp, slightly hoppy start and a smooth dry finish.

Serving: On tap at Swans Brewpub, served in a 16 oz nonic pint glass.

Appearance: Clear, bright, pale yellow gold. No head, just wisps of white foam and no lacing.

Smell: Very mild, sugary grains.

Taste: Malty, lightly sweet and yeasty, fresh baked bread. Just a hint of hops and bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Light, refreshing, inoffensive if uninspiring.

Verbatim from notes on 16JUL11

A: Light brass ale iwth brilliant clarity and a sheet of white foam. No lace.

S: Smells of light grain and some corn. Smells cheap.

T: Tastes of light grain, hints of corn and faintest note of hops.

M: Thin with low carb. Want more carb. Semi dry finish.

O: Easy to drink, but not good my any means.

A - poured from a 650ml bottle into a tulip glass. It pours clear deep yellow. The head settles to a dusting and leaves minimal lacing.

S - estery malt and herbal, slight piny hops

T - slightly-sweet weak malt, light citrus flavor (like a Hefeweizen), then spicy herbal hops and a slightly bitter finish

M - medium-high carbonation, medium-thin body and slightly dry finish

D - very drinkable. The taste doesn't quite live up to the smell. This is a great alternative for someone who prefers macro lagers.

a: This was a very pale golden color, slightly hazy. It was served to me with a thin whisp of a head.

s: Sweet sugary grains and very mild, herbal hops.

t: Mirrors the smell, a little too sweet for my liking.

m: Thin and undercarbonated.

d: Sweet and uninteresting.

A: pours bright, yellow-gold with a 1 finger, bubbly head that reduces to a thin film and leaves some patchy lacing. Tons, and I mean tons of rising carbonation bubbles.

S: grassy, bitter northwest hops and a honey sweetness, buttery too with a touch of citrus

T: nice round, grainy flavour up front that reduces into a buttery, bready, hoppy, dry finish that leaves a nice citrusy, nutty aftertaste. Just abit of fruitiness in the background too. Quite complex for a blonde ale.

M: light, smooth and very crisp with a wonderfully dry finish that refreshes and awakens the senses.

D: a nice blonde ale. Nice and complex and not too sweet. NOthing spectacular, but an all around enjoyable beer. I would buy it again.

Aptly named ale from one of Victoria's many brewpubs. Very light gold colour with snowy white head. Sweet, light scent of malts with hop grassiness. Some tinnyness to it.

A similarly light taste. Not weak, not watery, just light. Malts, hints of sweet apple and a bit of hop bitterness. I can taste a faint sprinkling of brown sugar and yeast in there.

Best served very cold. Easy to drink, smooth, a nice on a hot day. My first foray into Buckerfield's beers, but they hold promise.

A: Very, very light/clear. White head, no retention or lace.

S: Slight hoppy odour.

T: Slightly bitter, some fruit, a little bread and noble hop flavour. Better than a typical ale from one of the macros.

M: Light to moderate body, moderate to high carbonation.

D: Quite drinkable, should appeal to the masses.
