I liked this one more than most reviewers. Not sure if we have consistent priorities. But here is what I found.
Zotler's Mai Bock Looks decent, above average amber and foam lasts long enough to make a little lace. Smells are fruity and then hoppy. Tastes are hoppier as they come on stronger and start to dominate. OK for a quencher, but not OK as a table ale... except maybe for appetisers. Medium-mouthed, but not as soft as many.
My first from Zotler, I went on their website and another Bavarian brewer without an English translation button. This is starting to annoy me.

From the half liter bottle, it pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a modest off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a light scent of hops and malt, followed by a taste of the same. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

L- A rich looking darker amber colour. Pours clear with a 1Cm off-white fine-bubble head that holds very well.
S- Lighter than anticipated, just some grain.
T- On the front was errr... a bready note. Into a quite rich malty middle with a minor dy hop lick into the finish.
F- Served fridge-cold so I'm a little surprised that it comes over as somewhat rich. That aspect will grow as it warms from here on.
O- The family brewery, pedigree and under-stated labelling suggested a reliably solid trad beer. But it's a bit richer than I'd expect of a 6.5% Maibock and sadly hasn't much in it's taste to distinguish it. I'll happily finish it but no need to buy it again.
500ml bottle. Bought from TremblingMadness, York. BB: 09/10/2023. £3.65

500ml bottle picked up in mixed Bavarian case. Slightly hazy golden color, and light carbonation. Very hoppy taste and aroma, astringent aftertaste Mouthfeel is tingly, despite the light carbonation. Something seems a little off here, can’t put my finger on it. Decent, but not great...
