Golding's Session Ale

This beer is supposed to cater to the adkins-crazed and calorie counting beer drinkers out there. It is supposedly modeled after Golding’s Retriever but with less calories and alcohol. I think the fact that someone crossed out some words on a flyer for the beer so it read that the beer was "for pussy bitches" about says it all. The beer looks good enough, being brownish-amber with a thin light beige head and quick lacing. The aroma is very subdued, with only the slightest hint of hops to be found. Light-bodied, and despite claims that it retains the flavor of the original this beer is beyond mild. There is almost no flavor except for a hint of hops and sourness. The finish is weak as well. I guess that is Thirsty Dog’s idea of a session beer, but it is not mine.
