Brilliant dark ruby with a thin, creamy khaki collar.

This one has a good, strong aged character to it with a pungent, ruggy and fiery pineyness, as semi-hot, woody brandy ribbons throughout, giving a hot exhale to the semi-dry, barely sticky finish. The body itself is medium, with a thin, crisp carbonation.

More bitter than expected for a barrel aged barleywine.

A- a cloudy brown

S- sweet candy, little bit of oak, toffee and cognac.

T- follows the nose but with a slight bitterness in the middle sandwiched between caramel sweetness and booze burn from the cognac. Very tasty.

F- superb, a great body on this.

O- a superb cognac barleywine overall.

Golden-brown tap-to-tulip with scant visible carbonation. Webby lacing on the glass. Cognac is in the nose and flavor. Caramel, toffee and candy sweetness (+ cognac!) combine for a warming, very pleasant glass
