This is an intriguing blend that works pretty well. Clear dark amber color with a thin off-white head that has pretty good lasting power. Aroma of malt and rye. Medium-bodied with a nice bitter character with underlying rye and malt flavors. The finish is lingering and lightly bitter with a hint of spice. Getting to have Thirsty Dog brews on tap is usually cause for celebration for me anyway but this is a good anniversary beer either way.

From notes.
This brew poured a hazy golden brown color with a finger of head that fell to a small oat over top. The nose was nice. There was slightly nutty and roasted, slgiht rye spiceyness, and a crisp and slightly citrusy hop. The flavor was nutty, slight chocolate and spicey rye. The finish was a light bitter, but not lingering. Very enjoyable. The feel was moderate with a moderate carbonation. Overall, this was a refreshing offering after chowing down on a pizza. Highly enjoyable beer.
