Hazy yellow-gold like a Hefe with a fuzzy white head.
Toasted cracked wheat and pear aromas lead into flavors of wheat, yellow apple and pear with an almost Pils-like quality of corn via a medium body, nice froth and semi-dry finish. The faintest notes of the bourbon and key lime mead barrel come out at end of the warmest swallow, but it's not making a significant enough impression.
