This was a hazy dark amber with a wisp of white head. It had a fruity, flowery aroma. The flavor had a nice bit of caramel and toast. ItÂ’s light and a bit sweet. Slightly malty, but it was far from heavy. I didn't have a clue that it was a steam beer.

Served in a pint glass at Thirsty Dog in Canton. The color was copper, with a wispy head. The smell was a somewhat citrus hops. The taste was a decent maltiness, with a strong hopping of a very citrusy hops, and a nice, clean finish. Mouthfeel was average. As for drinkability, this is one that I could have had a few of.
A very enjoyable Steam-style beer, and I think one I liked a bit more than Anchor's. Quite good, and hopefully Thirsty Dog will move into Western PA someday so I can have these beers again!

Subdued hops flavor, light malt. Not much in the way of aroma. Light effervescence and golden color. This is billed as a "California Style" beer but I am not sure what that is supposed to mean.
