Served as a sample at Thirsty Dog in Akron. The color was black, with a ring of white head. The smell was roasted malt. The taste was dry roasted maltiness. Mouthfeel was about right. As for drinkability, could have a few.

Not a bad dry Irish stout. Though they're all trying to copy Guinness, at least this one wasn't on nitro and hence scored some taste points there. Turned out to be the best seasonal they had, and I'd probably give this one another try in the future.

This is a good looking beer and one that nearly matches looks with taste. The brew is clear red mahogany in color and somewhat opaque. The head is adequate and a pleasant tan color. It does not produce much lacing. The flavor is quite light and mild, much like an oatmeal stout. It finishes very dry which would indicate some hop balance of the sweet roasted malts. The mouthfeel is not up to its appearance, as I found it to be overly watery in feel, detracting from the otherwise good flavor and presentation. Surprisingly, the nose varied between a roasted malt and hop sense. Perhaps this is reflective of the overall balance of this beer.
