This beer does its job.
In case you are wondering, this is only the second time I've had a beer from Latvia and the second today. And I found them both in a Baltic mini-market in Oxford. (Go figure, but no more after Brexit.)
While there clearly are adjuncts in Gaisais, it does not deserve its initial rating (I'm #2.)
Gaisais means amber. Not. A golden lager without much to Look at. Smells and Tastes are also slightly below average (although I admit to being a malt-head.) Gaisais also sits in my mouth like no big deal.
But I went on their website and it is sweet. They highlight that their master brewer is the oldest in the Baltics and the brewery's leaders are wearing suits (almost never the case unless it is the Big Boys.) So, their story and my hunting story all makes me feel good, so I give them Decent OA hubs.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
