This is another diamond in the rough from the southland. It's not the best Pumpkin Ale I have ever had, but damn near close! I was lucky to get this one. They only made like 2 kegs of this stuff. For what reason, I have no idea. They said that they were selling out of it faster than any other brew they have ever had, so hopefully they will take a hint and make it more often. Anyways, it was a nice amber color with a creamy off-white head that was rather thick. The head lasted a little while, but then faded out to a laceing. The smell was of some wheat, hops, malts, and most importantly pumpkin spices. The brewmaster said it was brewed with real pumpkin, not just loaded up with spices, which was very evident when I tasted it. It had the spiced taste to it, but it was subtle and not overpowering to the pumpkin. It was creamy and coated the mouth very well. I liked it so much, I got a growler of it. It was expensive, but since I hardly ever get beer from there, I figured it was worth the money, especailly since this one only comes around once a year. I can easily say this is TBonez best brew ever.
