Tasted by 350ml at the AsiaWorld branch of Le Ble d'Or, Taipei; served lightly-chilled by a growler.
A: dark straw in colour, quite murky, coming with a quckly-dissipating white foamy head and a lightly carbonated body.
S: mildly phenolic-smokiness and bubble-gum+banana+mango fruitiness abound, on top of a very sweet grainy note of malts and caramel. Pretty interesting but slightly lacking more complexities.
T: a rather light flavour of sour-sweet wheatiness and a liquidy washing-up fragrance come forward upfront, while a chewy and semi-dry aftertaste of wheatiness lingers at the back.
M&D: refreshing on the texture with a medium body, while the lightly dry touch makes this weizen taste better than it actually does. All in all, this is a decent weizen and probably the best amongst all four samples produced by Taiwanese brewers that I've tasted! If the input of clove-ish spiciness is not such trivial, this could be more enjoyable.
