D'oh! Had this at the Belgian Beer Fest. Notes say this is a Flemish inspired ale with a Scottish yeast strain, then aged in oak with Brettanomyces added. The beer pours a dark, nutty brown color with a deep red hue. Little to no head. No lacing. The smell is great. Nice raspberry tartness with a hint of lactic acid. A hint of vinegar. Some nutty tones as well. The flavor is very smooth. Not as acidic or tart as I would expect from the nose. Has a nice roasted and nutty finish. Fairly dry with little carbonation.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
