Poured into a glass mug, the appearance was a milky amber/red color with a stifled transparency running about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace. A finger's worth of white foamy head slid off at a good pace. Some messy lace.
The aroma had some toffee/caramel malts cleanly run through some earthy hops, light herbal and grassy tones underneath.
The flavor leads with a mellow malty crisp character, some wafer hints echo the other malty tones. Hops are pretty low. Herbal to tea-like and wafer to toffee aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fine sessionability about it. Good carbonation. Smooth along my tongue. Finishes crisp with wafer/toffee and earthy dryness.
Overall, pretty good amber ale, I'd probably come back to.

Good morning & welcome as I CANtinue my New New Hampshire CANned Beer Sunday (Week 657)! I have gotten the bulk of the Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody winnowed down to the point that I CAN again focus on what really matters. Namely, The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Made in Manchester, New Hampshire"; "Est. 1994"; "Hail the Ale"; "This simple red ale was brewed in memory of Tasha, the unconditionally loyal German Shepherd. It's a supremely drinkable beer that is sure to be your go-to choice, and will always be there for you just like Tasha was. Expect a rich caramel malt character, balanced by a bit of bitterness and a great finish."; "Faithful By Design"; "Made With Barley Hops Water Enjoy!"
How interesting that yeast is not mentioned. CAN't have beer without yeast, or so I am told. The Crack! was loud enough to wake the neighbors, but I went with a gentle Glug so as not to rile things further. I did not get much in the way of head, though, so I resorted to a vigorous in-glass swirl to raise a brief finger of foamy, soapy, tawny head with low retention, quickly reverting to wisps. Color was Deep Amber/Light Copper to Copper (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity & a shade the color of one of my ex's hair. Wow! Really coppery! Nose left no doubt that caramel malt was involved, but it also had a light, subtle fruitiness that I could not readily identify. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was caramel & red raspberries! Yum. My late paternal grandmother used to have red raspberry vines on one side of her yard with rose bushes on the other side & during the summer, the bees would cross-pollinate them to the point that the garden smelled redolent. This beer reminds me of that - sweet, slightly perfumey with a definite red raspberry quality. She was the one who turned me on to home CANning & by the time that I got to high school Home Ec, I was way ahead of my classmates. I really liked the taste of this one since the berry flavor really stood out as it warmed. A little caramel malt CAN go a long way & they clearly showed restraint in this beer. Finish was semi-sweet to sweet, not so sweet as to be cloying, but sweet enough to deserve mention.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a dark golden brown color with a short off-white head that fades very quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, tea, honey and some earthy hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, honey, tea and some fruit. Then a hearty but not too heavy malt character breadiness comes in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Awesome beer. It is very drinkable and has a great finish. If you are unsure what to get when you go to Stark, start with Tasha's Red Ale and you will not be disappointed.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of caramel malts. Taste is caramel malts up front, hops kicking in at the finish, some sweetness, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent and easy drinking beer.

Can from Bert's
Brilliantly clear tawny brown with a decent sized long lasting beige head. Caramel and earth dominate the nose with a light toffee rounding it out. Light fruity flavor with bit toffee caramel and earthy flavor. Sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel moderate carbonation. Not a bad beer, but certainly reminds me of what everyone sold in the mid 90's.
