Had one of these a few days ago at MCBW ... as usual, love the hell outta their pizza, but their beer's consistently below average.
Not a fan of this one... it's supposedly an Imperial India Pale Lager, but I get so few hops, I could have maybe guessed this was an amber of some kind? Maybe an English IPA? It has an earthy hop flavor that reminds me of one of those two styles. This just didn't taste anything like I was anticipating. It looks great in the glass at least, but it really tastes like, I like to call them, dusty malts with faint earthy/dirty tasting hops. Far from terrible, but even further from great... I'm not likely to get this beer again at seven bucks a pint.
I love visiting you MCBW, but hire a new brewer... please.
