Smooth, clean, and rather rich, with a depth of malt character. This lager was brewed as a slightly lighter version of an Oktoberfest.

The appearance was a ruddy burnt dark orange almost amber color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head quickly dissipating. Sly lace. The aroma seems to blend soft crisp semi-sweet to bitter grassy hops to a nice toast to caramel/toffee malt backbone. Some bread and then some nuts also enter in as it warms. The flavor blends the sweet to the roast and offers in a touch of earthy spice as it continues to warm. Malts really kick in and end up smoothing out the spice pretty much altogether. Pillowy soft malty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good sturdy ABV seems projected as is. Overall, worthy amber ale of coming back to if I could get it again.
