LCBO June 2019. Clear gold with a fizzy head. Ripe grainy nose. Light malt body, very mild flavours. Decent crispness. Cheap basic beer.

355 ml can picked up recently at LCBO. Dated 10/29/2018. Uh oh. Don't remember the price, but is was pretty cheap.
Appearance - Mostly clear, nice golden color, thin and fizzy white head that burns off reasonably quickly.
Smell - Faint sweet and corn graininess, not a whole lot else.
Taste - Thin, nearly flavorless, with a faint corn like sweetness. Virtually no bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Quite fizzy, gassy, not much body.
Overall - Ok for a quick beer after cutting the lawn, otherwise a big pass as there's no substance here. A step up from macro lagers by and large. Good for what it is I guess.

Buck a beer from a craft brewery, I had to try it.
Pours pale straw with a quickly dissipating head. Sweetish aroma with light grainy notes. Light, malty taste. Hop presence is minimal. Little bit of DMS in the back. Light body with low carbonation. Sweet, shortlived finish.
A pretty bland lager, very watery.

This is an entrant in the Ontario "buck a beer" stakes (12 oz. bottle) by a Picton, Ontario brewer in response to an Ontario government request to offer cost-effective beer to the public. 4.5 per cent alcohol.
It is perfectly acceptable, and clean tasting with some barley sweets and light German hops. 100% barley malt according to the printing on the can.
Superior to mass market beers of its type, for one thing. And will appeal to those on a budget like retired people or others with limited funds. Good addition to the Ontario brewing scene.
