1 pt. 9 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is not stated on the label. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Intense aroma of fruity and piney American hops. The flavour has loads of piney hops with a massive bitterness, but it is not too extreme (pretty close, though). There is some malty sweetness, but the beer is not as sweet and alcoholic as many other American Imperial IPAs. Good stuff.

Straight to overall. Boozy boozy boozy. When you can taste the alcohol over the hops and malt you have a problem. The aftertaste is rubbing alcohol. I love a bit of alcohol burn but That is the only thing this beer offers. Just has a very harsh taste. Can't believe they sell this. Anyone can brew a better beer. Really. This is really bad.

Reviewed from notes. This one was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a nice hazy golden color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing coats the sides of the glass nicely and ends up following the beer in a nice gentle slide. The smell had a nice conglomeration of spicy and sweet citrusy to grapefruity hops to lead to a pretty nice sweet malt background. The taste took all of those flavors to combine very nicely and let it settle into a dry finish with no aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect about it. Overall, pretty good DIPA worthy of having again.

L: Golden yellow. One finger of head that sticks around for a bit. Nice lacing all the way down the glass.

S: Citrus notes and some pine. More citrus.

T: More of a citrus oriented dipa. But there was a bit of pine at the finish.

F: Moderate carbonation, medium bodied.

A solid dipa. A great sipper.
