We jumped the gun along the way making our Hop Commander IPA before a base but it worked out for us. Working backwards gave us an incredible profile to work off of to make a very well balanced IPA with a lighter, softer touch than our Imperial version but still packed with hops.

The beer pours out into a Duvel glass a nice apricot amber color with a 1" frothy white head that slowly recedes to provide a covering for the lightly hazed liquid. As the head recedes to an irregular ring around the glass there are some patches and irregular legs of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass. Sipping creates patches and legs of lacing that mostly cling to the side of the glass.
The aroma isn't particularly strong but is citric in character with some definitely floral tones and what is probably sweet malt in the background.
The flavors are both citric and floral but the emphasis seems to be orange/tangerine rather than grapefruit. Those disappear as the malt begins to show but without the malt becoming overly sweet.
The mouth feel is on the light side of medium-bodied but the carbonate seems a bit weak. The finish starts with the appearance of the malt which fades away into dryness as a touch of bitterness emerges.
Seems quite drinkable but isn't really an IPA I'd go out of my way to find. While its easy to drink and pleasant enough its also a pretty standard IPA. Fine as something to have but not something which stands out as being in any way exceptional.

Got it on draught at the Muddy Charles Pub at MIT. This is in the same vein as other IPAs that are my gotos. It's nice and malty without being too heavy, perfectly balanced with floral and citrus hops. And a little lingering soft bitterness. Delicious!

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a bright white head and some lacing. Aroma has peach, melon, and apricot. Taste is bitter but not punishing. Body is medium with a smooth mouthful. A solid IPA I'll gladly try again.

Classic IPA.
Pale yellow with a slight chill haze, bright white head that shows tenacity and cling.
Aroma is a bit tepid but bright and nicely coniferous with grassy notes.
Flavor is balanced and on the light side - highly drinkable and moderately bitter.
The body is on the light side of medium and the finish is a clean balance of hop[ bite and honey-malt sweetness.

Copenhagen 5/5 2019. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Borups Alle, Frb F. Drawing of car harvesting hops on the can. Appropiate for a beer claiming to be a tribute to the hop farmers.
Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam barely able to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, citric with a subdued sweetness. Peach, melon. Grape fruit, citrus, pine. Light metallic odor.
Soft carbonation. Medium thick, Soft texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Easy to drink IPA with a fine bitter edge.

Amber hue, medium head, amole lace. Aroma is moderately piney and dank. Taste profile starts fruity and malty, but finish is bitter, hoppy and crisp. Slightly boozy. A nicely crafted brew.

Pours a fairly clear amber with thick, soapy head.
Smell is fruity with notes of pine, citrus peach, overripe stonefruit and green tea.
Taste is crisp, fruity and a bit floral. Solid bitterness and notes of grapefruit, pine, tea, peach and some hints of caramel.
Mouthfeel is medium, sticky and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice, old school IPA.

This reminds me of a Sierra Nevada IPA with that big piney notes, fresh cut grass, tea leaf, lemon zest, grapefruit, what seems like floral flavors from dry hopping, biscuit, faint caramel and earthy tones. Nice carbonation and bitterness levels.
