I got a can of this beer from a beer store in Sault Ste Marie whilst there for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a clear copper with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint wine and bitter hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

Interesting name caught my eye. Pours golden copper with decent collar. Can claims toffee and fruits but I was hard pressed to note these. Weak nose and not too pleasant. Taste is not an IPA, more like a red ale. Sweet start and finish. Not one I will return to.

Initially bought this beer on a whim, just because I liked the color. Lavender. Delightful. This is my first jump into Magnotta Brewery's beers, so let's dig in!
L: It's a copper, bronze-type color. Maybe a finger of head poured roughly out of a can. Nice.
S: The scent is a feint smell of raisins to me, maybe a bit of caramel as well. Whatever it exactly is, it's heavenly. Perfectly subtle, and makes you want to go for a swim in it.
T: Perfect. It's got slight toffee notes, with almost a metallic type flavour. Difficult to trace, but my god is it delicious.
F: Almost resin-y in a way, but it's got a nice bitter initial feeling, and mellows out at the end very smoothly. Still retains a slightly metallic feeling.
Overall, to me this beer gives me a feeling of sophistication, clarity and peace. It's such a relieving, relaxing emotion that the beer puts me in, just because of the feeling and flavours the beer provides. It's not detailed, no, but it's potentially the best IPA I've ever had. Definitely worth a try.

Smells slightly fruity and of tea leaves. Hints of plastic and maltiness.
Tastes fruity, of pears, black tea, and the same plastic aroma.
Medium body, with very little carbonation.

A bad sign when it poured a transparent red-amber colour with small head which faded quickly. Nothing offensive about the aroma or taste of this but there's just nothing in the way of hops. If this were called an Amber or Red Ale I'd be fine with it, but it shouldn't be labelled an IPA.

473 ml can served cold into an Upper Canada Brewing Company pint glass. Canned November 14, 2017.
Appearance - Pours a pale honey brown colored brew, with great clarity and an impressive finger and a half of cloud-like off-white head.
Smell - Orchard fruits with mango and especially lychee. Possibly a little too much of the overripe fruit aroma for me but quite tropical. Hints of grape mixed in as well. Loads of caramel too.
Taste - Again with the mango and lychee overripe fruit, middling bitterness through and lots of caramel. Sweet and not quite over-sweet, but not quite to my taste buds liking.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and slick, carbonation on the lower side, body is quite full for this type of IPA. A little boozy and drinks like a higher ABV beer.
Overall - not a bad IPA with some unique qualities but this inukshuk isn't for me, would rather enjoy other IPA's before this one again.

341 mL bottle from a six-pack purchased at the LCBO; no dating info. Served slightly chilled. I have a hunch that this is just a re-branding of their old True North IPA label... but I never got around to trying that one, so this is still new to me.
Pours a clear golden-orange colour, capped off with one fat finger of creamy white head that remains in place for a good long while - past the ten minute mark, in fact. The lumpy cap recedes gradually, with rings of lacing being deposited after each sip. Muddled tangerine, bergamot oil and marmalade stand out on the nose, with bready malts and some floral, tea-leafy hops rounding out the aroma nicely. So far, so good.
A decent rendition of an English-style IPA. Bready, biscuity malts come through on the forefront, lightly toasted and accompanied by a hint of caramel sweetness. The hops give this brew a somewhat citrusy vibe, imparting notes of orange peel that are complemented by earthy, leafy hops and a mild floral bitterness at the finish. Bittersweet aftertaste that fades within a couple of seconds. Medium in body, with fairly lively carbonation that agitates the surface of the palate, resulting in a relatively crisp mouthfeel, in contrast its otherwise-smooth texture. More fizzy than I prefer from this style, but that's a pretty minor complaint.
Final Grade: 3.68, a respectable B grade. True North Inukshuk IPA is pretty good, for what it is. Allow me to elaborate: if you go into this beer expecting it to be a North American-style hop bomb, then I expect that you'll also be thoroughly disappointed with it. However, this is still a balanced and well-rounded English IPA, in spite of being somewhat forgettable as far as hop-forward Ontario pale ales go. While it's certainly not an exciting or revolutionary beer, it's a decent quaffer that I don't regret picking up; one of those "take it or leave it" beers.

Pours dark gold in colour with a huge dense head atop. Fruits on the nose, apple, pear, as well as hops and a bit of metallic. On the taste I’m getting hints of apple skin along with the hops fruits etc. An unusual IPA in my opinion but tastes good
