This beer pours a clear auburn orangelike color with a medium egg white colored head. Looks like its filtered which kind of sucks. Not much lacing. Aroma is buckwheaty, lol, whatever that means. Actually I liked the aroma but I can't explain it real well. Slightly sweet and earthy I guess. Taste is lighter in body and flavor but I do get that rhubarb flavor in the middle. Slightly floral aspects underneath and a bit of spicy hops in the finish. There are no off flavors here and its a nice quaffer but nothing too exciting. Ofcourse the comparison would be to Rogue's version of the style. This is very similar, I just which it was unfiltered like Rogue's. It's a bit toned down as well, I guess for the masses. Nice beer overall though, GRBC is improving each time I go there.
