There's a slight sourness that doesn't distract. Could be sweeter for my tastes, but really not much to complain about. No head or lacing and very little aroma. This is a rather alluring yet elusive brew. Worth a try especially on a hot summer's day.

A mucky, almost amber, saison served in a pint glass. Microfoam retains very well at a short 3/4" height.

Farmhouse yeast oomph, zesty citrus, floral Belgian hoppiness, grains of paradise, and a musty maltiness with a light toast. Could smell drier.

Has a hop bitterness and floral notes that blend with a dry apricot and citrus zest fruitiness that it reminds me of a Belgian IPA. Extra yeasty, of course. So powdery that it affects the mouthfeel. Mouth-drying in that way, especially with the added dryness and bitterness. A toasty element to the malt saves the day. Some implied spice and crabapple afoot. Forgivingly bland, but has some inner complexity that reveals as it warms. The body is relatively thin, and a sub-7% ABV is showing. Has that sandiness that I spoke of earlier. Not a bad feel; interesting, in that it forces a light pucker.

Decent. Rounds itself out over the course of a full drink.

Pours a light copper color with a soapy white froth that retains very well. Aroma of bubblegum, clove, floral. In the taste, more sweet fruity notes, light herbal/ floral and a pleasing tartness in the sustained finish. Faint peppery spice. Mild bitterness and low alcohol content. Overall, this is a decent saison, small tartness, good yeast driven flavor.

On tap at Old Chicago Olathe, Kansas. Poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of straw, citrus, spice and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Typically I like the traditional saisons and this is pretty close. Flavors of straw, citrus and spice with a crisp dry finish.
