On tap at Brew Hall. Strong pine and tart grapefruit aroma and taste. Fairly spicy. Fantastic use of Chinook. This is certainly lighter than Surly's other IPAs.

On tap at Surly’s Beer Hall. 10 oz. serving in a chalice.
Appearance: Color is a bright golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and about one finger of white head that slowly settles into a thin patchy layer.
Smell: A very juicy, piney, and dank hop driven aroma with a big scent of citrus and pine. Big upfront scent of citrus hops with hints of orange, grapefruit, mango, melon, lemon, and apricot. Big dank scent of pine resin along with some grassy hops. Backing malt hints of grains, caramel ,and yeast. A really good hoppy aroma.
Taste: Like the nose hints at, a dank and very juicy hop forward taste with notes of citrus fruit and pine. Upfront ripe citrus hop presence with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, melon, mango, apricot, and lemon. Spicy notes of pine resin along with some grassy and floral hop notes. Light backing malt notes of caramel, grains, and yeast. A pretty nice taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy, oily, and drying on the finish.
Overall: Another really good IPA in this series. Good West Coast style blend of citrus and piney hop flavors.
