On tap at Surly’s Beer Hall. Served in a 16 oz. chalice.
Appearance: Color is a bright golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.
Smell: A juicy and dank aroma of citrus hops and biscuit malt. Citrus fruit hints of orange peel. grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, and melon. Pretty dank with some hints of Euro lager style skunk. Bready malt with hints of biscuit, cracker, grains, and straw with some yeast. A very solid aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and bready pils taste with notes of citrus and biscuit. Citrus notes of orange peel, tangerine, lemon zest, grapefruit, and melon. Solid malt presence with bready notes of biscuit, cracker, straw, and grains along with yeast. A very nice taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and smooth with a drying finish.
Overall: A very good version in this Pilsner series. Good juicy hop notes that don't overwhelm the malt.
