The fierce rock icons that adorn a metalhead’s vest have no equal in the hophead’s world. Until someone makes patches of the world’s finest hops, beer will have to do. This hazy IPA is juicy, tropical, and needs zero dry cleaning.

They call it a hazy IPA but it seems classified correctly here as an American IpA....not hazy looking and not NE style taste.
The aroma is citrus laden with grapefruit prominent, with a little bit of strawberries....the taste brings on a touch of tobacco and weed.....as well as the grapefruit notes and a touch of the strawberries......medium bitterness...
Medium bodied...finishes dry...Enjoyable IPA I'd gladly drink again...

12oz'er from the mix pack. Terrible can art
Another hazy. Stinky smell. Light, watery feel. Mild and pleasant and musty. I taste strawberry/fruit only after being told strata hops impart those flavors, so that was interesting

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of piney notes, orange, grapefruit and sweet caramel. Sweet tropical flavor with pine and a toasted caramel backbone.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy (80%) clarity, medium orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 8. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong and juicy aromas of orange, tangerine, tropical fruit, papaya, and some mango/melon underneath. Lots of tropical tangerine.
Flavor: Moderately strong flavors grapferuit citrus, orange, and tangerine citrus. Some light tropical pineapple notes. Slightly bitter. Overall dry and clean
Feel: Lighter-bodied. Clean. A light bitterness.
Compared to Remedy Strata Copter 8/22/22: Pours a darker color. More grapefruit and lemon citrus, pineapple. Less peach. Similar tangerine. Lighter and cleaner. Dryer.
Compared to Big Grove Easy Eddy 8/22/22: Pours a darker color. More sweet tangerine. less dank herbs and pine. Lighter and cleaner finish.
Overall: A decent hazy IPA here. Strong tangerine flavors, yet a light bitterness. Leans slightly sweet. It's okay, but I don't know that it necessarily encompasses the Strata flavor. (Rating: 3.75)

I tried this at the brewery whilst in town for a work conference. The beer poured a slightly hazy orangish and had thin white head that did not leave much lacing. The scent had citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt base and slight bitter fruit finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

On tap. White head. Lace. Hazy golden color.
Super juicy. Tropical. Mango, papaya, passionfruit, orange, and melon. This is by far one of the best hazys that surly has done.
Very drinkable. Soft and smooth.

Poured in snifter from tap at brewpub. No lace or head retention. Smells of citrus, is juicy but dry. Cloudy pale yellow color. I've had better new England styles but overall this is nice just not complex or compelling.
