12oz cans from a variety 12pk into a nonic pint glass and also a nucleated shaker pint glass.
L: Pours almost clear golden caramel w a 1/2" soapy off white head w OK retention, lightly visible carbo, not much lacing but more lacing w the nucleated glass.
S: A hint of sweet caramelized malts, light grains, lightly fruity, apricot, very clean.
T: Soft honey bread, caramelized malts, grassy hops, apricot, light citrus, honey, late pine resin, yeast, malts are more prevalent w warming, moderately sweet w a gummy bear candy quality, crusty bread again in the finish, pale finish.
F: Smooth, glassy & slick hard candy med-bodied feel w a rounded center and a med to med-long finish that has a delicately long linger. It is lightly drying.
O: A slightly rustic tasting brew with nuances of British and American styles resulting in a brilliant IPA that is EZ drinking, refreshing and is essentially quaffable. I would buy this beer again. It is excellent in its style.

Pours is cloudy straw yellow with a thick white cap that falls away fairly rapidly but leaves decent lacing. Aroma is hoppy, with both citrus and pine. Flavor follows the nose but much bolder, certainly a west coast hoppy. Lots of citrus rind and pine. Feel is medium bodied and well carbonated. Overall, a nice beer.

from a can (from the Hop mixpack) into a tulip, looks good -- kind of mildly cloudy golden straw, 2 finger head. Nose brings grapefruit peel and pith, dry resiny pine, green gardeny herbs of some kind, together with a little light but still tasty bready malt. Taste isn't quite as interesting to me, but its mainly more of the same, both the grapefruit and the pine are pretty fresh and lively. Medium to light carbonation, good substantial body, lively and nicely bitter mouthful....also, kind of oily and coats the tongue, a sensation that I don't get too often anymore. I enjoyed this one a lot...solid.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Yellow-gold, particulates, good head.
Smell: Citrus, lemony, pith.
Taste: Big citrus, grapefruit, pith, pretty good bitterness.
Overall: From the hop pack, a nice old-school leaning IPA. Pretty good traditional citrus/grapefruit flavors and bitterness. The lemon in the smell is a nice change-up.
