2019 bottle, had in 2024
Look - Blackish brown with a nice tan head and great rimming and lacing
Smell and Taste - Chocolate barrel, but just not a big smell or taste
Feel - full body lighter carb
OVerall - I think it was to old

Thanks to Jeff for this one. AKA "Double Stuffed" Darkness with Vanilla bean and Cacao nibs aged in Rye barrels. 750ml waxed and capped bottle into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
Looks great. Nose is booze, chocolate, cocoa powder, cream, molasses and fudge. Deep and very aromatic. Beer opens maple syrup, molasses, chocolate, fudge, and vanilla. Oak in the back with hints of tobacco. More chocolate, fudge, and molasses at the finish. The vanilla addition makes this one nice and creamy with a huge malt presence while the cacao is much more subtle adding just a mellow chocolate presence. Body is full with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth and slick on the palate and goes down viscous, hot. Great for the style.
Not my favorite of the Darkness variants but still worth trying.
