Sampled multiple times at the Great Taste of the Midwest on 8/8/09
The beer poured a hazy golden color with the typical small white head for the style. The aroma was brett (thus the name) which meant funky and barnyardy. The taste was identical to the aroma but a bit more intense and slightly fruity. The carbonation was low and the mouthfeel was above average. Very easy drinking to me although the beer seemed a bit young. Amazingly, this beer was very similar to the NG Golden Ale which would make sense since both beers were the first brett beers by these two breweries. As always, another impressive beer from Surly.
