I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from a beer store in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had ripe berry fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with stone, passion and apricot fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, medium golden color with a small white head. SRM of 7-8. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, tangerine, wet peach, grapefruit, and pineapple. Intensely juicy and resinous (4.25)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors follow the nose. Strong candied orange, tangerine, peach, strawberry, and pineapple. Mild pine, but no bitterness. Thick and juicy. Leans sweet.
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied. Thick and leans heavier. Strong carbonation to balance though. (3.75)
Compared to 3 Floyd's Foggy Geezer IPA 4/16/21: Pours a slightly lighter color. Stronger, wetter, and juicier aromas. More peach, tangerine, tropical mango. Less grapefruit citrus and pine.
Overall: Great and juicy IPA. Strong candied orange, tangerine, peach, strawberry, and pineapple. One thing I've learned when it comes to beer, is never bet against Surly. Great stuff here. (Final Rating: 3.96)

Can. White head with lace. Clear golden color.
Juicy and tropical ipa without being a hazy. Has some hops showing. Floral and pine with some lemon. It’s okay.

L- Pours a clear, light orange wigh plenty of carbonation and a thin, white head.
S- I can smell the citrus hops from three feet away. Candied orange, grapefruit.
T- Very pleasant candied orange and grapefruit and citrus hop. A little pepper, and piney resin. Nice balance with the malt, but the hops are allowed to stand out a bit.
F- Pleasant mouthfeel with a little hop kick on the end. Crushable at 6.5%.
O- A nice IPA that is very drinkable. Good in many situations.

Poured into a Nonic.
Pours with just a touch of haze. Medium gold. Decent head and lacing.
Classic mild malt, citrus, and faint resin aromas.
The flavor is similar. Mild malt and well-balanced grapefruit and resin hops.
Nice mouthfeel. Well carbonated and medium bodied.
Everything about this brew says--solid but unspectacular. "Decent." It's well constructed and well balanced.

The mosaic hops bring out the best in this juicy hazy IPA, fresh citrus on the front & follows up with notes of grapefruit left on the pallet very smooth, well done!

This feels underwhelming compared to other juicy beers in Surlys catalog. A solid sleek malt backbone and a good hop presence. A good example of a new aged american ipa but unfortunately feels too similar to the vast amount of beers with the same profile.
