Had a full pour at the taproom and bought a 750ml can for home.
Somewhat an American old school style single bock.
For some reason the tap pour tasted smoother, sweeter and didn't have the pilsner bite to it that the can has.
Look: Transparent amber (dark gold under the light) body, Ok short head that hangs on for a while leaving just a little lacing.
TASTE: Caramel, Toasted bread, Biscuit, and a little floral towards the finish, maybe a micro hint of honey. After it gets warm there is a micro amount of a Hallertau hop note there. Sweet but not a sugar bomb. 3.86/5 for taste.
Feel: some but low carbonation, ok thickness but not thick and malty by any means. The tap pour seemed to be softer too.
It's ok I will give this a 3.91/5 rating overall. A good early fall beer, use it as a substitute for a Ofest marzen
Taproom only beer.
