This was aged in Black Swan oak barrels from MN that aged Hudson Baby Bourbon.
On tap at Cafe 28. Only 6 gallons made... mega wale status :D
Pours 1 finger of creamy khaki head. Great retention and lots of lace left. Color is a dark caramel brown.
Aroma: Cereal grains and malts. Chocolate and caramel. Oak with heavy bourbon. The bourbon is a big aspect of the beer, but really nice. I also get vanilla.
Taste: Huge bourbon profile again. Very dominate in this beer, but it is rather nice. Oak and vanilla. Lots of malts. Grains, caramel, and chocolate. Very awesome.
Mouthfeel: Warming, smooth, and creamy. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends clean.
Overall, a real treat. This beer was definitely awesome. I expected the bourbon to be a big part of this beer since the base beer has such a low abv, but it showed in an excellent way. Very drinkable. I wish the keg wasn't kicked so quick and I could have had more. Best dunkel I have ever had.
