To be honest I was a bit hesitant to buy this beer because - although I really love kabosu (a kind of japanese citrus, similar to lime but less bitter), I wasn’t sure how it would end up in a beer. Now, after having drunk it, I can say that I don’t regret giving it a try.
It is very fragrant, you are getting the kabosu citrus aroma 100% in the smell and the beer is truly infused with it as well. The beer itself is quite carbonated, but similarly to a sour. It is perhaps closest to that type of beer but without the presence of the yeast in the taste - it is only about the fruit here... which makes it like a carbonated soft drink or a real fruit beer.
It is a limited edition beer and only sold in Taketa, Oita (where we bought it when passing through) and it is a perfect companion for a summer night. Don’t expect a true American Craft, it is rather simple, but that simplicity and purity - and of course, the amazing citrus - is what makes this beer a good one.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
