Brewed as a tribute to Hawaii, birthplace of the tiki shirts worn by all Rogue employees every Tuesday for as far back as we can remember, Paradise Pucker is inspired by a classic Hawaiian juice hybrid combining passion fruit, orange peels and guava. The result is a delightful sour ale. Pucker up and embrace the tiki lifestyle.

Copenhagen 4/7 2020. 65 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of some seemingly very full and soft lips hovering with palms and gulls in the background.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - reddish orange with a medium-sized, stable white head. Settles as fine, thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with some sweet fruity intensity and some spicy bitterness. Passion fruit and mango. Mustard and vanilla. Citrus fruit and guava.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong sour-ish bitterness. Aftertaste is tart but with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry and sour.
Quite strong flavoring - but the sourness wins out in the end.

From a 22oz bottle. No date on the bottle.
Great hiss and pop upon opening the bottle. Nice wafting carbonation smoke coming from the bottle. The color of the beer is somewhere between golden and amber. The beer starts out clear, but gets murky when I get the rest of the beer into the glass. There's just a huge stream of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head is 2 finger in size and slightly off white with decent retention. There's no lacing on the glass.
The aroma is very tart smelling. There's issues because of the age of the bottle with wet cardboard notes in the aroma. I am getting some citrus, but it's hard to differentiate the aromas, though orange does stand out a bit.
Taste - faint wet cardboard flavor hits my throat, but goes away right away. The flavor then goes to - Woah! The beer has a ton of orange in the flavor. Wow, it does make me pucker slightly, in a good way. The guava shows up with a hint of sweetness to cut the tartness slightly. I think I am also getting passion fruit, but I don't know that flavor too well.
The tartness of the beer does linger in my throat and coats it. This beer does have a nice full body for the ABV.
Well, I didn't know what to expect when I bought this old beer a month ago. I am quite happy with the results. I would wager it has held up well.

Nearly clear amber brew with barely a wisp of foam in the Orval chalice. Quite aromatic with orange peel and a long funky nose. Quite tangy and tart. It's also thoroughly fruity with fermenting pineapple and guava.
Not as vinegary as a lot of Wild Ales. This one is brewed with yoghurt and Kölsch yeast plus all the acidic fruits, but it doesn't seem to be dosed with lactobacillus. Overall it's a deeply tangy blaze of sharp fruity flavors. Quite sippable. From the 22 oz bottle.

Woah! Tastes like a sweet warhead. Fruity. Passion fruit. Peppery. Buoyantly effervescent. Sour! Pucker up!! Good color. The end of the sip is quite spicy.

A nice tart ale. Thin tan head with some lacing. Smells of orange, passion fruit pineapple and some pine. Taste is light malt and tart fruit. I just need some sun and a beach!

Great on a summer day. Looks great with really nice smell of citrus, passionfruit, orange, mango, and guava. Come on strong and bright with lots of carbonation.

Fairly tart, but not quite as intense as a sour beer, which is appreciated as I find this to be a better balance. Well carbonated and tropical, slightly surprising ABV at 6 percent.
