Amber color, 1/2" white head. Hoppy aroma, nugget, c hops maybe.

Taste had a English malt toffee, lightly toasted little effect going for it. Hops were American. Mostly c hops, the usual combo of pine and grapefruit. Light bodied thankfully. Would bang again, inconvenient bomber format though.

Clear golden colour with a small foamy white head. Poor head retention.

Crisp light citrus aroma with a hint of grapefruit. Good.

Smooth, light, crisp malt with some smooth fruity hops. Nicely balanced for a Rogue beer.

Medium light body with moderate carbonation. A good beer.

Picked up a painted bomber of this beer while visiting central OR. Poured into a tulip glass on 7/4/2011, only a couple days after purchasing.

A: Orange copper body--cloudy with quite a bit of sediment floating around. Prolific light khaki colored head--this recedes slowly from 2 finger to a thin layer throughout enjoyment, leaving a strong lace in its stead.

N: Pine and apple and orange.

T/M: Earth pine and a bit of peppery spice up front, backed by a lightly sweet malt that tastes of biscuit and honey. Oily and thick mouth-feel. This ale's initially dry finish is quickly replaced with an oily, bitter after taste that just...lingers pleasantly.

Overall, I think this is a very decent beer. Without checking BA, I would not have known this was an IPA style ale by looking at it--it appears to be more of a red or dark pale ale--but I really like it; well-balanced and easy drinking.

Didn't realize this was a Rogue brew on first glance
A - a hazy rich orange, tall head that retained very well and left fantastic lacing up the glass as it dissipated
S - very pine hoppy along with citrus, slightly bready and just a little spicy
T - very comparable to the scent, there is also some light caramelly sweetness, and the spicy hop notes come through nicely on the finish, a great use of multiple hop flavours
M - medium body and carbonation, the hop bitter is featured but balanced well with rich and sweet malt
D - a nice take on the IPA, not a hop bomb but well featured hops but very well balanced with the malt, flavourful and fairly easy drinking, worth another purchase
