Clear amber colour with a small, creamy, white head. 4
Fruity, earthy hop aroma. Fairly straightforward really. 3.5
Big, phenoilic flavour which is unfortunate and which masks the soft malts. 2.5
Medium body with low carbonation. Good. 3.5
While I appreciate phenols, I prefer them in Scotch. Unfortunately this is just a touch off the mark. 3

Appearance- A real golden amber hue in the body. The head was frothy, just like a hoppy head from a cask should be. There is little carbonation.
Smell- Fruit and Citrus notes are abound with strong grapefruit and some floral notes. There is a sweet grainy body behind the hops.
Taste- Like the nose with citrus hops and a solid malt body
Mouthfeel- A moderate body with enough carbonation to keep the body from being completely creamy. A nice smooth citrus hop finish.
Drinkability- Wow really nice and smooth as a cask ale should be, so a pint is very enjoyable.

Excellent brew. It has a somewhat green/grassy hop character that some may not like, but it is a nicely drinkable cask ale that is biased towards the hops. One of my favorite styles and they hit the mark. Try their other brews too, all top notch! Good food at the pub as well.

Maybe the flagship of this great new brewpub in the back alleys of Christchurch. Golden orange with reddish tints. Frothy, creamy, white head. Sweetish malt (biscuity) with fresh grains. But perfume-y hops dominate. Dry-hopped indeed! Subtle but full flavor. Good balance, with sweetish fresh grain bread (with a dash of butter) and tantalizingly perfumey hops. Medium-bodied. Creamy feel, with perfect carbonation. My wife, Sus, said that she could drink 10 of these!
