Amber colored and clear. Modest head that retains rim bubbles. Some wide streaks for lace.
Sweet caramel smell. Almost toffee-like.
This is more dark than most Märzens with deep baked bread flavors. The caramel is strong here creating a sweeter-than-normal taste. Low bitterness as expected. Short aftertaste.

On tap at the Beer House, May 2012, served in a half liter:
Granted, I know that May is certainly not the typical season for this style of beer, but given that the establishment that is serving this beer is a "German" beer house and the server was calling it the "House beer" I tried it. Overall, it was awful, didn't even finish the half liter. The beer appeared a hazy, light reddish/brownish that is typical for the style, but with a very slight foamy head that dissipated into a thin right around the glass. The beer produced a very light malt aroma...nothing else. The taste was very light and for the most part is very forgettable. The beer had a light feel and was over carboanted. I would not drink this beer again.

The right reddish color, quite hazy appearance, a not so good foam, full of holes.
Malty smell, a bit of biscuit, light hop.
The taste is quite on the Märzen style, but there is a light acidity in the back.
Average body.
Normal, nothing really interesting, it lacks of personality.

Pours hazy amber with off-white foamy head, patchy lacing. Aroma is sweetish malt.
Taste is sweet malt, hints of honey and sweet finish with bits of caramel, some herbs can be felt as well. Mouthfeel is medium with slightly above average carbonation.
Overall, refreshing and drinkable, but lacks character.
