On tap at GABS Festival in Melbourne, May 2014.
Pours a golden colour with cream-coloured head, large bubbles but retaining nicely. Looks good.
Smells pleasant. Lovely caramel malt sweetness upfront that gives way to equally lovely hoppiness - all American with grapefuirt, lemon, lime and a touch of passionfruit. Gorgeous nose.
Taste is a bit more subdued. Similar caramel malt on the front palate and again giving way to hoppiness but just doesn't explode with character the way the nose did. Hops take on a slight apple/pear sweet fruitiness and only a touch of lemon gives that classic west-coast hop character. Nice, drinkable and pleasant though.
Body is actually a little thick for a pils. Actually not sure if that's a bad thing but it's a bit odd.
Decent pils, and ultimately pretty standard for the style. Pleasant drop.

Tried on tap at GABS in Melbourne.
Pours a peachy golden colour with some mid-level hazing to it. Body is fairly solid. Head is fairly light and fine, bright white in colour, and only leaves slight patches of lace. Still looks reasonably good overall.
Nose is spicy and bright, clean but pithy. Pleasant sweet-sharp characters of marmalade mingle with a dusky dust and dirt aroma and some resiny wood. Nice.
Light, slightly astringent entry on the palate leads to more pithiness through the centre. Body is very clean and bright, allowing the hops to come through as slightly resiny and woody towards the back. Aftertaste has a long lingering bitterness. Feel is very light, but it's suitable for the style.
Overall, this is pretty nice stuff. Drinkable and light, but with stacks of flavour. I enjoyed it a lot.
