Copenhagen 20/3 2019. 33 cl can from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh K. Apparently a beer brewed in celebration of Danish band Tiger Baby’s new album. Landscape with lonely wandering horse on the can.

Pours hazy red amber with big white head. Settles as thin but frothy layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial Lacing.

Aroma is intense, fruity and exotically sweet. Sweet lightly decaying mango, peach and pear in an early stage of fermentation. Strong, sharp citric notes. Grape fruit and citrus.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, creamy, yet lively texture.

Flavor has strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a lighter sugary undercurrent. Lingers for a while.

Quite sweet APA but not without a bitter bite. Even though a Tiger Baby do not bite that hard.

Looks hazy, opaque amber. Foamy white head. Great retention sheets of lacing.

Smells like grapefruit, mango, passionfruit, guava, tartness, light funk, bready malt.

Tastes lightly tart, grapefruit, guava, passionfruit, apricot, mango, bready malt, lightly funky. Slight bitterness.

Feels medium, well-carbonated, lightly dry, slightly sticky.

Deep golden colour, with a medium head that lasts for a long while and leaves a great lace. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, resine. Medium body, carbonation is OK. Taste of tropical fruits, resines, some malty notes.

Copper, cloudy with no carbonation. Topped with 5 fingers of orange tinged head.

Passion fruit, champi blossoms, orange, peach tea, children’s aspirin.

Passion fruit, peach tea, sourdough.

Medium, slightly gelatinous body, dry tannic finish, little carbonation.

Great name, fair brew. Not super hoppy, but certainly floral and more hop presence than a generic lager. Got at Beer Lab, drank in Chiang Mai August 1st, 2016

i cant get enough mikkeller beer right now, its all so interesting and delicious. this one is a pale ale brewed with mango and passion fruit. i swear there is some brett in here too, or at least a sort of funky belgian yeast, there is some definite drying yeast weirdness in here, but its minor, way behind the fruit. the passion fruit leads the way in this heady hazy orange beer. its tangy and tart, and maybe that misleads me to think there is brett in here, passion fruit can have a similar attribute. the mango is quite sweet, maybe a little less true to the real fruit as the passion fruit is, but they are both real flavorful in here. i wouldnt call it hoppy beer, but there was an obvious attempt to balance the sweetness of the fruit with some hop bitterness, but it doesnt quite get there for me. the hops end up being too flavorful (a good thing) rather than just bitter, so its juicy and ripe, but not bitter enough. well carbonated and easy drinking, interesting, beerier take on fruit beer, which i always appreciate seeing. yeasty. enjoyable and distinct, they all are from mikkeller.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 8/17/2017. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of mango, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops, tropical fruits, and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of mango, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness and light fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pine, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, tropical fruits, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero alcohol presence as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice fruited pale ale style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, tropical fruits, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

330ml Bottle from Kihosk, Copenhagen (35 Danish Krone):
Good stuff from Mikkeller, not their best but still a very pleasant offering with good bitterness & a subtle sweetness that balanced things out nicely. The mango & passion fruit seemed stronger with the nose & I wish they'd been stronger in the taste but overall I enjoyed this one & I'm glad I managed to grab a bottle as it's not one I've ever spotted in the UK before.

Tropical, mango, floral, malt scent. Very thin white head and golden woody color. Unlike the sweet scent the taste is rather dry. Hard to find that it has mango and passionfruit in it - unless I read it from the label.

L: gold caramel with fluffy head that goes away quickly
A: mango-front aroma. very resiny. bready. there's odd bit of artificial taste to it.
T: Orangy. Citrus fruity. There's tangy kick to it definitely dont know if this is because it's Mikkeller but it's a little acidic
A: slight bitter aftertaste. Not much alcohol
