Copenhagen 23/3 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ørsted Vine, HC. Ørstedsvej, Frb. C. Quite chaotic looking label with Keith Shore figures and several shades of brown.
Pour dark brown with a red hue and a big white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick creamy layer of foam. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense. Fruity sourness intermingling with more subdued sweetness.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed slightly lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and nutty. Lingering.
Nice Brown Ale - but pretty middle of the road.

Amazing Brown Ale, very smoky, delightfully not-sweet.

If I compare this beer to a British or American Brown Ale it is a light brown ale which in itself is fine. But overall all the hoping is the dominate factor which is not to the style of a brown ale. It has a nice copper color and light malt body. No sweetness and slight carbonation. The hopping is bitter with citrus flavor but does not linger.

On tap at the Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen, Denmark. It pours a brown colour with beige head. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, fruits, brown malts and hints of nuttiness. Tastes of caramel, nuts, dark fruits, brown bread. Light to medium mouthfeel, light carbonation. The aftertaste has a moderate fruity & nutty citrus bitterness. Reasonable but somewhat below the Mikkeller standard.

Dark hazy mahogany with a huge fluffy beige head, slowly receding to a small creamy film of foam.
Big hops, with lots of pine and grapefruit peel, toasted grain, cracker, mild caramel, dry grass, faint hay, even a faint whiff of cocoa.
Rich bitter and sour citrus up front, lots of lemon and caramel, a cringing start that's fortunately saved by a thick blanket of caramel sweetness soon enough. Some peach shows up, a bit of melon, a bit of tangerine. Malts are toasty, close to some coffee notes towards the finish. Pine resin, herbs and grassy bitter hops for a really rough finish.
Aftertaste is hoppy, a bit blandly so. Citrus peel, burnt pine. Medium body and carbonation.
A big hopped up brown ale, but not too interesting in the end, kinda chaotic.
