June 30th, 2016 - A lovely, clear and lighter auburn brew with just a touch of head, the Waves IPA is quite dank on the nose, and even rankles my snoot a bit with the smell of wet dog. But it's not for being bad, but for being unexpected. The flavor is also up front and rich in canine, with a thinner body. The aftertaste is a little cleaner and let's the hop personality shine a bit, engaging and dry, and almost like a hoppy pils.

Comes in a clear straw color, topped by a creamy white head that dies down after a few minutes, leaving a thin film that leave some spotty lacing.
Smells like white and pink grapefruit, soft pine, lemon peel, citrus pith, hints of tart pineapple, crisp crackery malt.
Tastes like grapefruit, orange, lemon, pineapple, lychee, and pine. Crisp, cracker, pilsner-like malt. Slightly spicy hop quality, leaving the tongue tingling. A bit metallic as well, like pennies. Lightly bitter, with lingering citrus pith and pine notes. Finishes lightly dry. An absolute crusher.
Feels medium-light, well-carbonated, incredibly crisp and dry. Crushable.
I really enjoy this. A bit more West Coast, but also more pilsner-like. Just an insanely drinkable, refreshing IPA.

Bought as pint 4pk - funky art label cans. Coolness level is on point. Pours a straw yellow with medium head - mouth feel is about right, bit a creaminess detected, easy drinking on the front end. Aroma is slightly tropical but nothing over the top - some malty yeasty notes as well. Taste is light, in line with color, nothing sticky or resiny. A light IPA for sure - yet a high ABV. No alcohol heat, like many brewers these days the alcohol is masked nicely with balanced malts and hops. I like this beer - definitely want to try more from Mikkeller.

Pours a pale yellow orangey color with just a touch of haziness. Smell so peach forward and fruity but not juicy. Taste is a lychee bomb. Rather delicious.
