Bottle: Poured a murky brown color beer with a light dirty bubbly head with light retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with some funky notes. Taste is a mix of weird funky notes with not much tart notes and quite a bit of residual sugar notes. Body is full with medium carbonation. A bit weird and lacking some balance.

375ml bottle - yet another purportedly sour-ass offering released by this gypsy brewery - how is this not a 'Faro' here?

This beer pours a hazy, medium bronzed amber colour, with a near teeming tower of puffy, loosely foamy, and chunky off-white head, which leaves some dissipating cloud lace around the glass as it slowly sinks away.

It smells of sweet cereal malt, muddled generic orchard fruit, white-bred sugar, a touch of saltine crackers, some unforgiving yeastiness, and very plain earthy, leafy, and musty hop bitters. The taste is rather sweet domestic and exotic fruit esters, some overwrought free-range sugary notes, very understated isolated sour essences, a hint of wayward son yeastiness, some weirdly out of place oaken buttery character, and a sense of displaced alcohol astringency.

The carbonation is fairly active in its frothy and fizzy emanations, the body a solid middleweight, I suppose, and mostly smooth, with a wee airy creaminess taking off as things warm up at tad. It finishes on the sweet side, as the candy sugar really starts to assert its stranglehold.

Overall - since I've only actually had one iteration of this style of beer over my large-ish number of reviews, it's kind of hard to accept this as a palatable sort of offering at this time. Way too sweet, with very little offset, even of the typical 'spontan' variety, rather surprisingly. At any rate, kind of hard to drink, in whatever style this one really ends up being.
