June 30th, 2016 - Lighter and a little more raisin focused than then Beer Geek Breakfast Stout, this offers a stronger botanical hit in the nose, with a soapy cleanliness and, as mentioned, those raisins. The body is a perfect balance between depth and carbonation, with a gentle hop aggressiveness and a curious tang at the finish. Delicate, and malty, with a safety net to keep the flavors from becoming too intense.

Poured out an opaque, dark, dark brown color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and roasted malt. Very piney flavor with hints of toffee and caramel. Nice and bitter.

Served from a bomber into a snifter glass-
Look- Poured dark but not overly heavy.
Aroma - Tons of coffee with roastiness, no noticeable hop nose.
Taste - Coffee and roast throughout the profile, hop character making itself felt strongly in the middle. Fades back to coffee. A little bit more hop quality would have easily made this a 5-star beer.
Feel- Medium body, coating with a dry finish.
Overall - Great beer that I will definitely be getting again. The balance between the coffee and the hops are amazing. Also great to see that Mikkeller is getting more reasonable with their pricing - at $6.49 for a bomber at my local bottle shop, this will be a regular in my lineup.
