On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Hazy ruby brown hue, it comes with thick foamy light tan head that retains itself for a while with decent retention before sinking to a long-lasting bubble sheet atop and leaving plenty of sticky lacing patch and spot along the way.
Very winy in the aroma, lots of scent, white grape, red berries, cherry, raisin, prune, phenol, some tart, slight medicinal, astringent, peppery spice, barrel, and oak.
The taste is still very winy like the aroma, it is led by white grape, red berries, cherry, prune, raisin, phenol, oaky barrel, some tart, slight medicinal, and astringent, as well as lots of spice and alcohol.
Full body with some crisp through the palate, quite smooth mouthfeel with a dry finish.
Complex Belgian ale with a twist of Sauternes barrel, the time in there is not waste in presenting strong winy character. Alcohol is in your face, not for the faint-hearted.
