From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. At lunch, with rice soup + papas aliñas + acedias. After futsal match. Overcarbonated acid, with huge foam. The sourness is not so excessive as to have to drain pour it but it isnt enjoyable for me either

Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with fizzy white head. Lemons, citrus fruits, and some tartness and salt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with lemons and salt.

330ml bottle - surprised that this one wasn't already on here, as its cherry and peach variants are.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden straw colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some chunky and fine snow rime lace around the glass as it eventually settles.

It smells of bready and doughy pale malt, a lesser edgy wheatiness, tart lemon rind, laid-back yeast, and a suggestion of white saltine crackers. The taste is gritty and grainy pale and wheat malt, a rather tame lemon/apple edgy fruitiness, sea salt, a hint of rice vinegar, and maybe some mild leafy and earthy hop bitterness.

The carbonation is fairly evenly applied, via its capable frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth, once the trusty ol' cognitive dissonance chip kicks in to full power. It finishes off-dry, as the malt and fruit seem content to keep things more or less balanced, as opposed to going after more of my eroding tooth enamel.

Overall, this is a rather well-made version of the style, with a nice fruity tartness, some agreeable salinity, and a solid malt character. Worthy of a try if you're a fan of this sort of thing, even at the relatively dear single serving import price.
