Hazy amber orange color with a thick beige head with great retention.
Aroma with notes of pine, grapefruit, lychees and a good deal of caramel and biscuit malt. Fresher should be more interesting.
Flavor is less sweet than nose indicates. Notes of pine, lots of garlic, apple juice, lychees, white wine, wood, spices and yeast. Dry and quite bitter aftertaste.
Bordering full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 8.4% is well hidden.
Well executed Double IPA with lots of garlic and white wine on top of traditional pine and grapefruit notes. More assertive than complex, but with some not so common flavors.
