Found this at the Greenville Beer Exchange, poured into a tulip glass.
Look: Murky, watery rust. Kind of a deeper, off-rust color. Not much of a head. Honestly not that appealing look-wise.
Smell: Much more inviting smell. Cherry juicebox, fresh raspberries, some rose petal, some oak, slightest earthy funk note. Very complex.
Taste: Raspberries with a slight tart finish. It's not fully sour and that makes it that much more inviting to drink. Very vinous to drink as someone else pointed out--it has a tannic quality as well as having an oaky/woody back bone mid-palate. I don't really pick up on the cheese notes some other people pointed out.
Feel: Light medium bodied. It feels slightly watery, and this wateriness takes away from the appearance/body of the beer. As I already stated, there is a tannic quality to this beer that kind of dries your tongue out on the finish. Very refreshing and drinkable nonetheless.
Overall: Very interesting offer from Mikkeller. A nice harmony between cherry and raspberry--both components compliment each other in an rewarding way. Glad I got to try this one.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12.7 oz. bottle into an El Catador teku glass.
A: Hazy dark red with copper-brown lowlights. Forms a thin light pink head that fades quickly atop a good amount of visible carbonation.
S: Lactic sour and funk – barnyard and some cheese, but not overdone. Sour cherries and sweet overripe fermented raspberries. Lightly toasted bready malts under a modest acetic tartness. I think I’m getting some oaky tannins as well that give it a bit of a red wine skin and tannins effect. Nice, and a fairly complex aroma.
T: Lactic and less acetic acid sourness up front. Significant - but not overly - acidic. Sour cherries atop mild cheese and feet funk – I'm thinking Lactobacillus and likely Pediococcus as well. Vinous tannins again, and a light toasted malt presence. More lemony citric acid tartness and a fresh raspberry bite at the swallow and into the hang with more acid.
M: Medium body, but a low level of carbonation sensation makes it seem a bit heavier in the mouth. Low alcohol presence.
O: Good, but this doesn’t quite have the juicy flavors I was hoping for. Plus the cherry and raspberry flavors get muddled together rather than each standing on its own. It ends up coming across a bit like a fruited Flanders Red maybe. Enjoyable enough, but I don’t know that I’d seek it out again.

Bright, brazen and pickled, the fermentae that frames Mikkeller's sour fruit beer series settles upon cherry and raspberry for a high sour flavor that's saturated with these fruits. Tart and refreshing, the beer is strong enough to extend well beyond what its fruit character suggests.
Rich mauve and hazy to its core, the rosy beer casts an arid froth and an aromatic blend of cherry, cider, raspberry, foral perfume and a brisk waft of the sea. As the taste takes hold, the candied taste of the beer comes across like hard candy and fruit filled tarte.
Saturating with fruit and candy, the sweet and tart middle palate trends sour while slowly retreating with sweetness. Dry cider, rose wine, pickled juices and beet decorate the malts while a decidedly sour tone trends dry, peppery and cinnamon-like. Highly refreshing, any bitterness seems stemming from the fruit peel, pith and seed.
Raspberries and cherries trend long, sweet and tart in aftertaste while a sharp acidity plays a prickle on the tongue, buffered only by the lingering crusted maltiness. Warm with booze, the finish is herbal, fruity and short with sourness.

really awesome new one in this series, super stoked it made it to the bottle. the first time i have seen the little keith shore character on the label running through the rain with multiple fruits, the cherry and the raspberry. i expected the nearly brick red, softly hazy, and creamy headed wild brew to be a little too sweet with the dueling fruits, and while there is some fruit sugar in the middle, it doesnt finish particularly sweet. i think the cherry is more potent than the raspberry in both aroma and flavor, but i also think it comes first, and that both fruits are appreciated here, the raspberry more later on. both a little jammy and concentrated, but working really well together. i am wondering if this is a blend of the two separate beers, or if it is one lambic aged with two fruits. i tend to lean toward the latter, as the integration is pretty amazing. plenty of oak on this, mellowing and unifying, with a red wine kind of generic fruitiness and sharpness in here as well. a little less funk coming through here than some of the lighter ones have, this is really dominated by the fruit, and as such maybe a little less complex than others, but the acidity is right on, and this drinks amazingly well both right out of the fridge and after its warmed up in the glass. i continue to be blown away by this series of beers and hope they keep on coming. a treat to have shared so many of these with my brother, including this beauty and the equally uinque fig edition this week!
