On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Pitch black in color with majestic soapy tan head, it stands with remarkable retention and just slowly dissipates to an eternal silky layer covering atop while leaves plenty of refined yet sticky lacing all around.
Intense and aromatic espresso coffee in the aroma, it is also with notes of dark and creamy chocolate, cocoa nibs, rich roasted but not so astringent, a little bit smoke, caramel, vanilla, licorice, bready malt, and some spice from hop.
The taste is reflected what are in the aromas with notes of intense espresso coffee, dark and creamy chocolate, cocoa nibs, rich roasted coffee bean but not that astringent, a little bit smoke, caramel, vanilla, licorice, bready malt, and some spice yet bold bitterness from both hop and roasted malt. The aftertaste is very long-lasting with superb coffee goodness and dryness.
Medium to full body with relatively low carbonation but it is crisp enough to carry all the things well under the smooth palate, finish is very dry that will make you instantly crave for more.
This beer is a real treat for both coffee and Stout lovers.
